turn range splitting
*** MOD: Moved to Low Stakes [2013-12-05 13:05 CET] ***
So a buddy of mine played a really cool hand i think but i can't get it to post unfortunately but is a really cool spot so please look past the terrible HH and lets get some good discussion going
heads up match villan stats from previous session call open 57 3 bet 17 c/r flop 35
Stakes .5-1 100bb
hero KsQd raise 3 bb villan call
flop Kd3c4c hero bets 3.50 villan c/r to 12 hero calls
Turn 6d villan bets 20 into 29.50
Hero?
My initial thoughts are because villan is repping so little on flop i am shoving over the turn bet. seems like a spot where if we aren't going with this hand we are getting owned by villans line because we just don't have enough hands to defend with. what are your thoughts if you have no reads on villan?
Bonus ? that i really want to know and why i posted this hand is how do you go about splitting your range on turn so that you won't be exploited sorry if i sound like a noob- i pretty much am and trying to learn some theory stuff thanks for the time and really appreciate your feedback
Here is my shot at splitting my range sorry it has to be so long but hopefully you guys can tell me if my thought process is correct or not I put this into equilab
so if i continue vrs the flop check raise with sets-9 two pair-27 top pair-120 ( not sure if defending all top pair is correct??) open enders-32 gutters-80 and flush draws-55 i am continuing vrs the check raise with 323 combos of hands or about 26% of my range- is that enough? then on 6s turn i have 98 combos of sets, 2 pr, and straights to shove over his turn barrel -that seems pretty good to me and i can call the turn with my flushdraws, open enders and top pair and be ok on (almost) all rivers by calling my top pair on blanks (non 4 straight rivers) and calling or betting when checked to when i bink the river straight or flush.
Really appreciate the time guys
