TT NL50

BN: $112.87 (Hero)
SB: $9.80
BB: $33
UTG: $22
HJ: $24.75
CO: $59.03
Preflop ($0.75) (6 Players)
Hero was dealt T T
UTG folds, HJ raises to $1.50, CO raises to $3.25, Hero calls $3.25, SB folds, BB folds, HJ raises to $24.75, and is all in, CO raises to $59.03, and is all in, Hero folds

Initial Raiser plays 26/23.

3bettor is playin 21/17 with 11% 3bet overall.

Not sure what could be the best play here...dont think CO is 3betiing too light here given Position and stacksize of HJ.

What would be the best line here? 4b and then....(call shove from/fold to shove from)

feels like a bad line i took....

It's an annoying spot. Even in coaching videos, you see pros struggling here. Cold calling looks like 99-JJ, AJs, AQ, which is whar you have. Folding is a little tight, and 4-betting is very loose.

I think flatting and then obviously folding to the two shoves is the best play. There is no option that I'd be happy with.

Just tell yourself: Phil Ivey gets in these spots as well, and it's tough for him too. There is no magical line the pros secretly knows that will work every time.

What's HJ 3bet and 4bet % (and on how much occurrences ) ?

My first thought is to directly fold here. HJ is short and look like more in the aggro side and I'm scare that the fact you add more money in the pot make him want to get it in with a larger range to get the dead money and CO probably have a strong range that want to GII vs HJ so you not gonna play vs HJ alone often.

But if HJ is more passive and don't 3bet/4bet much I'm ok to call IP that really small 3bet and see the flop vs 2 players.

Waht's your plan for postflop when you call here. Set mining?

A problem with set mining is that your range seems so obvious when you cold call here. This probably reduces your implied odds and increases reverse implieds.

Further, in x% of the cases both HJ and CO shove. So, you actually invest more than 3.25 on your call.

I prefer folding.

Given stack sizes and the fact that CO is 3betting 11%, 4betting very small to call HJs shove might be fine as well.

yeah...PF fold is decent option regarding stackszies...but as played im obv not calling for setmining...OTB TT is nice playing even 3 way in 3bp´s

I don't really see how TT plays nicely 3way in a 3bet pot as cold caller.

You are faced with 4 potential over cards that won't just give up when they miss. Also, HJ can have every over pair.

I don't think you have an equity edge vs potential ranges. Furthermore, your range is somewhat capped and HJ can apply a lot of pressure.

Basically, I don't see any board where we don't make a set or better and can happily call three barrels.

To me it seems tricky to play profitably post flop. Of course, this is hard to estimate and a matter of confidence.

11% 3-betting stats is pretty high, and the fact that CO is 3-betting from LP, also gives me the incentive the 4-bet my TT from the blinds. The best possible scenario we're hoping for is 4-bet to take down the pot. However if

1)HJ Jams the rest of his blinds in VS our 4-bet, We are calling, since he's shortstacking with 49.5BB, and TT fares Well VS his likely shortstack Jamming range.

2) If CO Jams VS our 4-betting strategy, then it's a fold, since TT value drastically decrease in an 100BB+ aipf scenario.

*)4-betting Strategy Calculations: ( I'll be solving this problem VS CO's 3-betting range, assuming HJ is folding to our perceived strong 4-betting hand range)

*)Villain has a total 11% 3-betting stat. Lets assume a polarized 3-betting range of

{TT+,ATs+,KTs+,QTs+,AQo+}=6.8% for his value range, and 4.2% bluffs.

VS our 4-betting strategy, Villain is likely

1)Jamming all JJ+,AQs+,AK=3.3%

2)While Folding: AQo, and suited Broadways+4.2% bluffs=7.7%

Dead money in Pot: $5.5,

And assuming we're 4-betting to $10.5, and folding to a shove.

Villain is folding 7.7/11=70%

While stacking off=30%

EV(4-bet)=(.7)($5.5)-(.3)($10.5)=$3.85-$3.15=$.7+EV

EV(4-bet)>>EV(fold)>EV(call)

the only reason i set EV(call) as worse than folding is, we're essentially set-mining with TT, if we're calling the 3-bet OOP, thus making the play marginal at best.
