Hi guys,

Was curios in your opinion on these river situations in 3bet pots - is the main decisional factor here the information / read on villan`s bluffing frequency ?
And if we have no specific river reads on villan we need to call as all draws missed ?

For the hand above i had less than 100 hands on him and he seemed a bit nitty.
Checked back Turn to maybe get a more marginal call on the river.

Thanks !

I think that always betting this turn in this spot is a good exploitative line as opposed to a mixed strategy. It also makes it easier to get to showdown because I would probably be checking back most rivers with AK. I would value bet rivers with hands such as JJ, AJ, A9s, A7s but I think AK would be a little bit too thin against villain's condensed range.

As played I really hate the spot we put ourself in otr by checking back turn. While we have a clear valuebet otr we also capped our own range by checking turn, and by betting we now re-open the action and also a window of opportunity for villain who is paying attention to own us. We are at the top of our range and I think we should theoretically call with this combo but I also don't see any bluffs in villain's range that play this way. So I would exploitatively fold river.

I think it doesnt really matter much if we bet turn or river and we should do propably mix of that with AK. If we bet turn and check river, we should be also considered capped, just after we also check turn, bet river.

Screamdustry, You do not have to worry about being capped when you end the action and the hand is over as there is no further street for villain to do something against you.

It is gross, but i would also fold.

So he's repping basically only like A5s, but the problem is that its really difficult to assign him any bluffs. He would have some bluff that want to call flop and check turn and it so difficult to find anything like that making sense.

So i would just go with a population read, that guys are not turning enough pairs into bluffs.
This is also a line that you use with AK/AQ reaaally often, so ok - you are possibly capped from top - but its not like you dont have enough strong bluffcatchers.

I wouldnt really bluff if i was villain in this spot, because i dont expect most population to be disciplined enough to bet/fold AK/AQ there. Especially against a line that doesnt represent too much.
