TP+nutFD line 10NL

BB: $11.96
HJ: $20.02
CO: $10.93
BN: $12.40
SB: $10 (Hero)
HJ: 60/23 (31 hands)
Preflop ($0.15) (5 Players)
Hero was dealt K A
HJ raises to $0.20, CO folds, BN calls $0.20, Hero raises to $0.95, BB folds, HJ calls $0.75, BN folds
Flop ($2.25) K 9 8 (2 Players)
Hero bets $1.05, HJ raises to $2.10, Hero calls $1.05
His flop raising range contains 88, 99, strong Kx (KT+), flop flushes and few random bluffs.
Turn ($6.45) K 9 8 7 (2 Players)
Hero checks, HJ bets $1.97, Hero raises to $6.95, and is all in, HJ folds
I was totally disappointed when I faced this kinda bet. I think when He has a set or 2 pair, He's just potcontrolling, and checking back. Either with medium high flushes. So He could've strong clubs like Jc or Qc, or random bluffs to.

I decided to shove, because I don't know his bluffing tendencies, I'm not sure if He bluffs rivers enough.

Any idea to play the hand more profitably?
Final Pot
Hero wins $9.83

When the opponent min-raises on the flop, they will likely have a nutted range, so I like the call, you're always going to be behind if you shove.

As for the turn, when an opponent makes a small bet like this, they likely are trying to pot control with what they hope is the best hand a decent amount of the time, so when an opponent raises them like you have, it becomes clear to them that their hand is behind.

As for the possibility of a bluff, I don't think an opponent at 10NL would play their bluffs with this bet size. If an opponent was bluffing here they would shove, as players at the micro stakes think of bluffs as "big scary bets", either because they can't think on the level of betting deceptively small, or for the main reason that no one folds at these levels so a small bluff would achieve nothing. Therefore, I would have preferred for you to just call and hope they find another bet on the river, which in my opinion is more likely to happen than for them to call off your check/raise on the turn.

shoving turn is horrible, he just folds everything that isnt a straight flush and like you said, hes checking back his sets.

tank call the turn and hope he bluffs or valuebets Qc on the river
