PF = depending on the rest of the table as well. If they are fairly tight I think I would prefer just calling vs MP open (when villain is unknown). I don't think we can raise here very often for value.
As played
Flop= I think bet/folding here is fine. More often than not youll see another bet on turn and youll find your self in front of a difficult call.
I think calling flop and then going broke vs unknown from these positions is just overplaying our hand. Yes he will have a draw or combo-draw every now and then but vs his overall range I think you are behind.
Some numbers:
Board 9c Qc 6d 9d
Hero : Kd Qs 15.29%
Villain : QQ+,99,AQs,AcKc,KcJc,JcTc,AQo 84.71%
Im not sure I agree with you here. You expect an unknown to raise/call QQ+ preflop as a default ?
I think vilain's range for c/r the flop looks like 99, AQ, AKcc, KJcc, JTcc and maybe some QQ (not all combo tho). If it was me, I wouldnt c/r AQ on this flop, but c/c it.
I dont have pokerstove open right now (on a mac), but I think we have more than 15% equity. That being said, It still a spot where we are behind and hope that he doesnt have QQ+ in his range. Also, I dont really like bet/folding TP in 3bet pot.Are we bet/calling AQ here, AcQx ? only KK+ ?
If vilain doesnt c/r with AQ here, even KK coulnd continue vs a c/r..
