So when villain peels my c-bet IP, I think his range is mostly hands like 88, TT, QQ, sometimes 89s, 9Ts, and A9s, and sometimes floats with AK and AQ. I didn't really want to barrel this A myself because I thought I'd probably get him to fold everything worse and just call with his 9x and Ax hands. So when he bets big here it's a pretty tough spot because all his Ax floats got there, and I don't really see him betting this large with hands that I beat, which are going to check back a large % of the time anyway. So did I take a good line here? and how should I procede on the turn?

I think ur 3b & cb is too big, I might call the turn if the pot & his bet was smaller. any reads?
if I 3bet any smaller it's hardly even going to be worth it. I shouldn't really let him see a flop cheaper IP just because he decided to open min, should I?
You don't think he ever calls with his TT,88-66 hands on the turn if you barrel because it is a scare card?
I agree that he would probably fold out everything that you beat to a turn bet and only call when you're behind unless he decides to get sticky with the hands afiguy mentioned. However, I like betting on the turn probably just over half pot as it should hit your range strongly and will allow you to set your price to see the river. I think if I get called or raised I'm probably giving up on most rivers. The problem with checking is it is just asking to be taken advantage of. If I was in the villain's shoes I would see your check as most likely an underpair or a weak ace and apply a lot of pressure on the turn and river.
If we have no reads on Villain and you assume that he might be a reg than i think you should bet 2.8$ on the Flop and 4-5$ on this Turn. Obviously he will have a hard time calling with his med Pairs but nonetheless you should valuebet. You just cant turn your hand into a Bluffcatcher on a perceived Scarecard that his YOUR Range better than his.
Obv you can also bet KQ KJ JT as a bluff. I think a bet of whatever size (up to pot) is bettr than a check without reads.
As played i just fold to this bet. He would need to bluff with 55 33 66 etc and floated Broadway Hands i dont think we can assume that . (also given your rel. big preflop 3b)
yeah I agree that betting turn is important for defending my bluffing range. The question is will that compensate for the times that I'm value-towing myself vs his Ax floats and his sticky QQs. But yeah as played it needs to be a c/f I think cause sure sometimes he'll sense weakness and blow me off the best hand here, but he won't always bluff, and that's the important thing. A large % of the hands that I beat are checking back here, which means his betting range is probably weighted towards value bets, not bluffs.
TimDog nailed it pretty much.
Nevertheless I have to criticize that NO single information on Villain was given. It would really help if you told us anything you know on Villain. Even an information of 10/8 over 8 hands would be more than zero information. I can´t believe that 90% of the hands posted here happen when Villain played the very first hand.
Obviously in this hand any additional information (if available) like WTSD, W$SD, WWSF, AF, fcb, rcb, f2b would be helpful.
I don't use a HUD so I have no stats to provide. I think imma invest in HM this summer though cause yeah it'd be helpful.
