Check flop sometimes, bet turn and overbet river.
why obet R?
Overbet river can be an option.
One reason to overbet river is that we try to rep ak, and he can easily call this with his rivered flushes.
I think when the third heart hits the river, I betting river 100% of the time. any Ax, Tx and so on is going to xb this on lower stakes, I'm quite sure.
It seems like BN was in x/c mode and therefore a bet OTR would have been good. I'm not sure about the obet either. I think he could have middle pairs or a strong10x hand. I like a 1/3 vbet OTR.
OTR,.I think he may try to bluff catch with a lot of hands (flushes, Ax – even a little one since A4s, A6s, A7, A8 and A9 split OTR-, even a Tx) since you don’t rep many hands with an overbet. At these stakes, I'd try to maximise my value.
good point. there are definitely spots where I like your play and I have missed some of those opportunities in hands before. But it doesn't happen all that often where someone has a strong enough hand to call an obet in a 3bet pot.. I wouldn't put BN on any Ax given it would have to be the case A. 10x is a fold OTR vs an obet imo. So flushes are ur best candidate for max value. But if he had a flush and we bet small...would it induce a raise OTR? Or if BN didn't have a flush would we get hero called with a small bet vs. 10x or middle pairs.
I think checking the flop is fine. If stacks were deeper, I would like a lead more often.
I also agree with others that overbetting the river seems like a good line to take. You really good a pretty good board run-out for your hand.
i somehow thought that flushes gonna vbet R so i went fo x/r but didnt know i could go for 2x pot... since if i just pot, they have pretty easy snap kind of , i think 2x pot is best.. btw 2xpot is AI
we realistically dont have any bluffs, so overbetting is not likely to be theoretically correct option. It could fine from explotative standpoint though. I'd def bet, villain has one pair hands a lot and he might raise the flush himself.
Flop is interesting. Both options are fine. My issue with checking is that I'd expect competent villains to expect us to cbet air 100% and Im not sure that nl4 reg is gonna start a multistreet bluff to get us off KK... But we block so much that its prob superior to check anyway.
i liked coment tho i agree only with one part of it which others didnt mentioned, dat is that i dont rep anything exept fulllhousez with river overbet , tho i guess not many regs are folding there AK/AQ or flushez anyway... well i guess at least flushez no... its just 2POTS bet
so i dont think they will try to exploit by overbets my folding flush
I would bet really small OTF (1/3d or something and hope villain spazzes).
Then bet like 1/2d to 2/3d OTT & jam the river.
+1 like this for attempt to get the max value.
Yeah, seems slightly better than c/c flop, especially if villain is more passive/non-believer than aggressive/tight/thinking. However I think you should be capable of taking this line as a bluff as I don't think good regs will fall for it, especially when the runout doesn't allow you having many high equity bluffs.
underbet, underbet, shove
