I'd say checking flop even with AK is okay strategy. It is 4 way 3bet spot and even though they are likely weak players there are hard to get called by worse 2 times (only AJ/AT/KQ). So pot controlling is okay
River I don't know; in general this spot should be under bluffed because not much point to bluff 4 way with tiny fold equity. But they are weak players so for 1/2 might might be fine to call. Either way it can't be great and can't be horrible
vs a 1/2 pot river bet i think about calling and realize this is 4nl and fold
I think it's also worth looking at the turn in this specific spot. I really don't see the player in position checking back with T there, with 2 flush draws and 3-way pot, and betting half pot on the river.
So imo well played on the river call.
