such a weird line vs reg

Blinds: $0.25/$0.50 (5 Players) CO: $51.60
BN: $134.15 (Hero)
SB: $70.20
BB: $66.70
UTG: $15.00
Preflop ($0.75) Hero is BN with T A
UTG folds, CO raises to $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, 2 folds
ok so villian is a regular i play with, playing 14 11 4 over 11k hands. he is pretty competent and doesn't get out of line that often.

Pre is close between a 3bet and a flat but the sb is a total fish so i decide to flat to hopefully get him in too, plus my hand plays well in position
Flop ($3.75) 3 J 7
CO bets $3.00, Hero raises to $8.00, CO calls $5.00
obv a good flop

I think a raise is pretty standard here. I want to build a pot for times I hit, plus I get value from any weaker flush draws.

When he flats i'm ruling out JJ 77 and 33 as I think this player would 3bet the flop with those hands.

He prob has AA-QQ, AJ KJ QJ maybe, or like 98 clubs, 67 clubs maybe
Turn ($19.75) 3 J 7 A
CO checks, Hero bets $12.00, CO calls $12.00
I genuinely do not know whether to bet or check back here.

I very likely have the best hand, but I don't want to be raised off a re-draw if i'm behind?

I now beat KK plus all his Jacks except AJ, so value is best?

He tanked then called.
River ($43.75) 3 J 7 A 3
CO bets $30.10 and is all in, Hero folds
he just ships it on the river. WTF?

I'm in the tank for ages. A lot of other players I would call here, his line doesn't make a lot of sense unless he has specifically AA for value? although wouldn't that x/ship the turn?

Other than that it's some kind of missed draw right?

I just can't see him shipping like 89 clubs here, it just looks so much like a bluff and he knows that....

I fold. My hand is essentially a bluff catcher.

pffffffft. what do we think?
Final Pot CO wins $41.60
Rake is $2.15

Everything he is repping would have just played faster on an earlier street I would assume. The guy is very tight, I really don't think hes slowplaying sets or anything on this board on the flop and turn. And he's not outright ripping AJ on the river either since our value range more or less beats him. Even though it looks like a bluff and he "knows this" I still feel like that level that we take in identifying the spot still doesn't outweigh us facing a line that really represents no hands. I'm just calling man. Also if he shows up with JJ here it's more or less the worst possible line to take with the hand. The logic of calling the turn with a set then ripping the river when draws brick does not compute. We can sleep at night knowing this.

Strange value line, but an even stranger bluff line. Also, I question whether he's legitimately competent playing 14/11/4. So tight!

Fooold, srsly what bluffs do you guys that wanna call think that he can have? More than kqcc? He can def have some % of sets, all aj and he is a super nit so he won't turn a j into a bluff ever(would that be +ev under some circumstances?)

Bet is probably best since he still will call most fds since he will have a gs to go with them (if I didn't and instead would have to fold would be pretty catastrophic), but considering how poor eq he will have when he's behind, and the fact that we wont be able to get two more streets when we don't improve to a flush) plus the fact that we get full stack from flushes and aj/sets when we check back turn and hit a flush river anyways can maybe make it a check back

I would call here. There are no real value lines your opponent can take once you raise the flop and the opponent just calls; any set or overpair your opponent has would GII here. I also highly doubt your AT is losing to a better Ace either. Considering you have the nut flush blocker, a 14/11 would find it impossible to call a raise with any Ace bar the AJ, and a 14/11 player likely wouldn't shove their stack on this river when you have the betting lead.

There are no real value hands here which make sense whatsoever. Call and make a note if he happens to show up with anything at all.

PF is a fold versus a 14/11.

Flop is a call.

Turn is a check as played.

River, you butchered the hand so hard, so I will make a curious call and snap posting this hand as my "Worst 2014 hand" if I lose, and as my "Best 2014 hand" if I win.

1: the opperent is tight player, maybe his range is most pairs, and 67s, jqs, 89s,and so on. what's more, he had no 3, accounding to his playing in 3 streets.
2: okay, now if he got 33 77 JJ , for most player you two would play all in (<200bb) ,now if he got QQ KK AA maybe he will all in or float 2 street, and decide how to play at river, then turn get A ,you bet is right, u can get value jX QQ KK 67s and so on. he calls not raise, it means he most of all have not get 33, 77.JJ, sure maybe he also get AA, and choose c-r at river or bet small holping a good reg bluffing himself therefore, usually his range is draw cards dead, but he can't win so he usied the A at turn and 3 at river choose all in to bluff.
3:It's just my guessing,This story is purely fictional. Any resemblance to actual individuals or events are coincidental.
