Struggling to play the SB
Hi all,
I noticed I'm really struggling playing the SB against UTG/MP. I'm really unsure how to play hands like AJ, AQ, KQs, 77, 88, 99, TT.
What I think is that they are not a 3bet for value, nor for bluff either. But calling seems very bad because it opens BB the opportunity to squeeze/join us.
Can anyone provide me some SB ranges/tips how to deal with such situations? I'd really appreciate.

It's just a though spot in general. Which is why a decent amount of people are playing SB as a 3-bet or fold spot preflop.
You can create a flatting range similar to what you are saying against UTG and HJ opens. JJ-88, KQs, AQ, AJs. And then when BB squeezes the person who should defend the most is the initial raiser, not us from the SB. But we would still call some of our better hands.
I personally have been using a 3-bet or fold strategy. I also play 25NL where the SB is 0.4BB and not 0.5 which gives me even less incentive to enter the pot.
