BB: $33.35
UTG: $50.00

River ($16.00) Q K 5 7 4

26/20
call 3b range 17%
afq 34% OTR

I think I really fucked up this hand.
1. Flop sizing? Is it ok, or it should be bigger on this texture? I was thinking about 5-6$. That's probably first mistake.
2. Turn I decided to x/c. I think it's a wrong decission. Maybe it's better to xc here KT/KJ hands and still valuebet AK. I x/c because i have As and I still can x/c OTR even when spades hits. Probably second mistake.
3. River. I bet ~40% dunno why. i wanted to get call from Qx or Kx, but probably even Kx villain is going to bet by himself, soo why no x.
Vs a raise it's a clear fold, he's got sd value which he's probably not turning into a bluff. Third mistake :|

I find spots like these tricky as well.

  1. I think betting 40- 50% on flop is good. All villains underpairs are folding in this board and a large portion of his Broadway's are continuing which you want to deny equity realisation.
  2. Turn I would bet 1/2 pot. If we get shoved on it's a tricky spot but I think we have to call off, I wouldn't expect it to happen that often as a lot if villains nut hands are likely raising flop.
  3. I think checking river is good when flush completes. Jamming is probably too thin. I would expect villain to Xb his KJ, KTs, QJ.
JT may jam as a bluff and obviously Flushes sets and 2 pair for value.
Given pops tendency to play rivers passively I think we can even xf here although we would be getting sick pot odds.

There may be error in my thought process though - as I mentioned I do find spots like this pretty tricky.

  1. Flop bigger (60%)

  2. As played bet Turn because your sizing otf kept his range wide. Usually, x/c AK with some fequency OTT makes a lot of sense.

  3. As played bet/fold a little bigger, like 50% unless you have some sick read regarding spazz induces. After Villains raise you should fold with the reason you already gave us.

thank you guys.
I think the same that AK is just too good to check this turn. I can can do that with KT or K9 hands and still protect my x/c range. Thanks!

x turn can be ok tbh. I'd check flop with this combo but if you're doing a 1/3psb c-bet its fine ofc.
Gotta call now, you induced looool
