If you raised $36k and you have $40k left, you just invested a huge chunk of it into the pot and his range includes AJ -AK and smaller PP than yours.

As played I call..

OP has 400k left not 40k, right? So he invested < 10% of his stack. I guess it´s a fold given the figures, but I´m far from being even an amateur in ICM calculations, just my gut.

But with an M of 22 (excluding antes?) I don´t think it´s "necessary" (= significantly profitable) to put your tournament life on line, especially with one shortstacker left that has 25% of your stack.

Being terrible in solving math problems, this seems to be pretty easy to solve right? Just try to get a frequency he 3b/folds against you and a frequency he calls your jam. When he calls your jam, get the payouts and your hand and his range in icm calculator and find the needed equity when he always calls your jam. And after that deduce the EV of his % 3B/folds of your needed equity...

The real problem is probably you do not have a great feel for his 3B/folding range...right?

i wager all my chips here, squinster will see this as: you are isolating a limper and hes gonna 3 bet a lot lighter here with the extra money in the pot...not folding
