spots to c/r when i have the preflop initiative

The title is basically my question .When i raise preflop i'm pretty much think if i should cbet or not and very rarely i take any options in consideration .
So , in what situations should i consider to c/r instead of cbet ?

You want to have some hands that you're either checkraising or check calling with with the initiative so that people can't bet with reckless abandon when you check. Some bluffs that you might want to do it with could be gutshots or other draws and value hands I'd probably want to stick with hands whose value isn't going to change on a lot of turn/river run outs. Also, obviously we want to checkraise more with the lead vs people who auto-bet when checked to.

interesting, do you consider X/R with top pair good? because i dont consider easy to play turn and river since there will often be better hands in front if we go to the river, i like to begin with 2 pairs + as a value range
i like to do it on flops we dont CB a lot lke 659ss
when you speak of X/R bluff i undestand with gusthot but naked flushdraw i dislike since we have lot of equity but not often to call a shove, i prefer 2 overcards since i dont fear to X/R fold my little equity
what do you thinK!?

That all seems reasonable. As far as check raising top pair that's going to be pretty opponent specific and really dependent on the board texture. Like I said before, you probably don't want to be check raising top pair hands on board textures that are likely to change because you end up inflating the pot oop with hands that are likely to turn into bluff catchers.

does that mean it can be good to X/R dry boards ? i dont have a X/R range on this board like A52r but a huge CB% and a verry narrow X/F range

I think we probably should be doing it more than most of us do. By having a checkraising range on dry boards it allows us to "need" to defend less hands by calling and inhibits the PFR's ability to realize tons of equity for free. That being said, it's not the easiest thing in the world to split your narrow value range in that manor.

I try to balance my C/F range with a lot of strong and medium strong draws that can handle a free card if villain checks but can also C/R and like to get a lot of money in on the flop (or all of it). I think we only need to really C/R dry boards as a bluff (and obv balance it with strong hands) when we're facing those guys that Bet in position a high high % of the time or just are stubborn.
