I'd just x/c OTT. Vilain can easily have 22, 33 and a better flush after raising OTF. By x/r turn, you would just make him fold worse hands and call with better.
One thing I just realised is that you block a lot of flushes combos. Qs, Js and Ts are blocked, so that remove all the suited broadway combos. I dont think vilain has A9s-A4s or K9s-K4s, but he can have 78s, 89s type flush (which you beat).
Even with better flushes being removed from his range, I'd just flat turn and readjust OTR. I think the question is, can we call a river bet ? What was the river card and what was the river action ?
I'd definitely call turn. By raising he's not continuing with lots of worse hands except for some lower flushes that bet the river regardless. River will be a sick spot though if he bets big.
A classic example of isolating yourself against a stronger range had you raised. Just call.
You can't raise for value OTT.
With his stats I don't mind trying to get the turn in. I think the flop raise it means he most likely has Qx or maybe even a spade draw.
Against normal opponents who would never bluff its important to keep his bluffs in so check calling the turn is fine.
However I think since he's continuing on the turn means he's almost certain to get the money in now and I would actually be more weighed to putting him in now rather than have another spade comes off and scare all his QX with no flush or rather boat up or make a higher flush than you with QAce of spades.
call turn and check-call river.
thank you! I was asking b/c he's flop range to me is more inclined to draws which is why I didn't raise turn but he ended up showing up with AQ. River was 5s ck/ck
