Now you are the first caller after UTG opens. But let´s say you were in The blinds with 5 5. And there was a couple af caller, and it is type of guy´s as your reg guy. Then i would fold it pre. In my experience the reversed implied odds is heavy in that spot. If you hit a set, you win a small pot when you have the best hand. And you loose a stack when there is a set over situation. It may seem weak, but i think he has a set o eight´s here. Maybe a set of ten´s, but he would be the type of guy who would squeze with ten´s. And i don´t think he slowplay king´s in that spot. If he was on a draw, i think he would give up on the river. I think he raises the flop to charge draws. So you are probably beat here. And i think you have to fold, even though i hurts in the stomach.
So what happend??

You are focusing to much on bluffs.you are leading the pot multiway. The guy raises the pot multiway.does he have enough foldequity Vs 2 guys after the Action? No. What does he more likely have?Value . Does his value Beat my value?yes.fold!

It's micro's, villain likely doesn't know what fold equity even is.
Just get it in on the flop and if it's set over set, bummer, it happens.

its probably right that vs 19/19 utg open i should fold 55 just been thinking a lot about set situation while playing but vs his opening range 55 dosent do really good post flop

im not folding when we get to river in this manner...
you get dicked down by TT/88, viallian can have missed FD's, this utg probally wont have J9s, 97s etc.. but could possibly overvalue kx+FD thats gets to river. 6 combos of dick downs thats it xD gii =oP

Who ever said fold pre, might be to something xDxDxD

gll Esso glad your back in the forums gll mang!!!!!!!!!!!!

Calling small pairs in a single raised pots is totally fine imo. You want to flop those sets to win bigger pots against top pairs and stuff like that.

I don't even think he needs to be bluffing for you to call. He could have several hands he thinks he's value betting. AhKh, KhQh, KhJh, KTs, AA, QQ (that doesn't believe you could have a K by the river. But I think he could easily bluff here too out of desperation with some missed draws. Getting nearly 3:1 makes that river call really easy. You lose to 88, TT or KK and beat everything else.

Fwiw - on turn when he bets $3 he's committing himself and 55 is way ahead of his bet/call range. If you think you're ahead there, shove don't call.

Flop can go either way, raise or call. But the call is with intention of getting it in on the turn.
