semi spew monkey need help

Hey,

I am wondering guys, do you have any strict anti spew rules you can share?
Which can help the people of my kind :)
I spew alot postflop vs weak bets. I raise too much with air and stuff.. :)
It would be very nice to share experiences on this topic.

Thanks!

I don't have any strict rules. I try to reason through the hand and make the right move based on what I assume the villain(s) have and what they will do with it. Overall I try to cultivate the image of a nit.

It's ok to raise with air if your opponent's have air and they will fold. The if is the biggie.

Vs. weak flop bets try folding to the first couple at a table then after that raise one. Pay attention to who will fold to raises and also to what weak flop bets mean from specific villians.

I am the type of person who has a difficult time accepting loss, this made me sometimes turn into a super aggressive fish who fights for every pot. I need to combat this, but im not sure how. :(
I play micro stakes zoom vs big field of players max 2 hours sessions.
So I can not observe to figure out how villain plays, There is no any special dynamics in zoom too.
I dont need to make any moves anyway... but i do it.. cant help myself.. :(

Overcompensate for now by becoming a super nit until you de-tilt. Or stop the session immediately.

There are lots of books on being your own mental coach, etc. Maybe read some reviews on a bunch of them and buy one that appeals to you.

I think it helps to realize that patience is really really important in poker. At times I find it helpful to tell myself, "I'll get his money eventually."

Re: Zoom, I think you have to look at "his" as a homogeneous group.

You need to understand what winning means in poker. Winning does not mean winning every pot and its this logical flaw thats leading you to make these errors. Does nt mean you should give up all the time and not attack weakness but its definitely a balance. Theres an old article by Tommy Angelo that does a pretty good job of explaining where profit comes from in poker.

I think this will help you. You need to learn to understand that folding can be winning. Not pulling the trigger when villain is laying an obv trap is winning. Stealing an uncontested pot is winning. Making a beautifully sized value bet is winning. Having a finely tuned betting range where villain can only make mistakes is winning. This list can go on and on so I ll stop now :D.

Hope this helps.
