Sauce Line Shenanigans
Party, $5/$10 No Limit Hold'em Cash, 6 Players
Poker Tools Powered By Holdem Manager - The Ultimate Poker Software Suite.
Hero (SB): $1,067 (106.7 bb)
BB: $422.75 (42.3 bb)
UTG: $1,112 (111.2 bb)
MP: $1,043 (104.3 bb)
CO: $1,000 (100 bb)
BTN: $1,000 (100 bb)
Preflop: Hero is SB with Ad Td
3 folds, BTN raises to $25, Hero calls $20, BB folds
BTN is a very good, winning reg. The only note I have on him is that he cbet QQ on A83r in position. BB is a fish so I decide to flat and try to keep BB in.
Flop: ($60) Kc 8d 4d (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $40, Hero calls $40
Standard as I don't have a huge checkraise range for this board.
Turn: ($140) 8h (2 players)
Hero bets $36, BTN raises to $110, Hero calls $74
So I take the sauce line of 'donk 1/4ish pot with entire range when middle pair pairs'. I've been experimenting with this lately and it's been working decently, although I've been getting raised a large percentage of the time as of late.
So I'm getting 4-1 on the call. It's tough to say what his range is since my line is unorthodox so I don't know how he'll react, although most players tend to play straight forward versus it. I think his range is something like good Kx, 8x, K8, 84s, 44, a few combos of diamonds, and maybe but not likely 56/78.
I call given the price.
River: ($360) Ah (2 players)
Hero checks, BTN bets $200, Hero calls $200
Given that I didn't 3bet the turn, I think my range is pretty much capped at the occassional weak 8x, mid-low Kx, and diamonds draws.
Thoughts on all streets appreciated.
