River bluff
Hi!
I am very interested what you think of this hand!
Game is .02/.05 Zoom, villain is unknown (41/33 over only 27 hands).
I think 3betting 89s on the button is a good play. Also CO's F3B stat is 100. When I get 4bet from the small blind I think it should probably be a fold, or maybe it's the very bottom of my flatting range. I mean I'm in position, so why not see a flop.
When villain checks to me the on the flop I think checking back is best. When he checks the turn again, I am pretty sure he doesn't have an ace, but I decide to check once more. I think his range is probably 88 to KK and the ace scares him. When the river is a second ace I am pretty happy raising his bet. He folds.
Do you think 89s is a clear fold preflop? Should I already have made a bet on the flop or turn?
