Figured he'd still call weak aces, kings and clubdraws, wich (I think) we should be able to make him fold on a lot of rivers

Clubdraw misses, we have better Ax and Kx, we block diamond draws. Isn't this the perfect river barrel?
What are your thoughts on this hand, my betsizing etc, how would you have played it?
Thanks alot

Preflop: Wide hand to do this with, we are exploiting his high fold to 3-bet. So it's fine. Do understand that when he does proceed then that his range is going to be rather strong. Main moment we are generating money with this hand is on this moment, preflop 3-bet.
Flop: I don't mind a cbet perse. Could fold out pocket pairs. Too bad we block 99 and 77. I'm not a big fan of the sizing or even cbetting often. We are wide preflop and have a lot of air hands we can bluff with. We would want hands that block his stronger Ax and have some equity when called. Even if he decides to call with JJ-TT here we are crushed. I would size up here if we decide to bluff with this. I doubt it's going to be a winning bluff if villain folds 80% of range preflop.
Turn: Good card for our exact hand, rather neutral card for ranges. Not generating much more fold equity here. I would look into checking and hope he checks back or check fold. Bluff with hands such as JT, QT, QJ. They block BTN's calling range and have a gutshot alongside a flushdraw. Even a hand with a 5 and a flushdraw might do better. 67s has a gutter, 57 is a double gutter etc. 79 seems very ambitious in a spot where we're not generating many folds.
Think about what you are targetting? Is your betsize even going to accomplish that?
River: Better late than never but it's time to give up this hand. We are blocking exactly what we are targetting from BTN to fold, weak Ax. Having 97d is actually not that great as it also blocks A9dd and A7dd which should get to the river (assuming BTN has those preflop). We could get folds from flushdraws but that seems rather narrow. And if we want to get this guy of Ax then you need to size up! I dislike your sizing on all streets but preflop.
This I why I loving sharing HH's, been doing it since this week.
Did not want to bother people at first but it really helped me.
Exactly what you are saying: we are generating money by 3betting pre, but it did not occur to me that when he calls, he actually has a really strong range.
Also, the entire hand I was just focused on making him fold weaker aces.
So I totally agree with bigger sizes as played.
In-game I was just trying to make him fold these hands, and we picked up a flushdraw along the way, not considering everything else you mentioned.
Thank you for input and time, really helpfull!
Hand histories is a good way to learn. As well as analyzing other people's hand histories. I like doing them as well.
Don't analyse too many weird spots though. Often you are thinking about this hand history that almost never occurs and all the effort you are putting in is wasted as it's very unlikely you are going to encounter that situation again.
Yeah however, simple, often occuring spots dont get posted often imo.
For example facing cbet raises, ranges to flat 3bets pre oop etc. I feel like these are massive fundamentals I might improve on but not sure how to approach this.
E.g. I used Peter Clarke's book TGM to construct ranges vs 3bets regarding not folding more than 55%(?). But can't figure out the optimal ranges for flatting oop and can't find a whole lot about this topic
