RFI from SB. Should I be +bb/100 or just > -50bb/100
When we're in SB we're losing -50bb/100. So when we're looking at the RFI winrate from the SB does that statement still apply or is it different since we're risking even more anyway.
Should I be looking to be winning just more than -50bb/100 or more than 0bb/100 in that specific situation.

you need to be winning more than -50bb/100 in order to vpip a hand or not
Sorry I didn't really understand the answer but I think I figured it out on my own. When filtering by 'opportunity to open the pot' I should strive for > -50/100 but when filtering by 'Raise first in' I think I should be > 0bb/100
You can still lose money on hands from the SB when you choose to open them because the alternative is to lose 50bb/100. Whenever you're trying to figure this stuff out try to lay out all of your options and what the outcomes would be.
From the SB, when it's folded to you, you have 3 options. You can limp, you can raise, or you can fold. We'll ignore limping for now but we know that folding costs us -50bb/100 because it would -0.5bb(the cost of the SB posted) for 1 hand (this one we're playing). So in order for us to want to play a hand as an RFI, we just need to make more than the -50bb/100 that we would lose if we just folded our SB.
If opening J3s loses you -45bb/100 BVB that's still an improvement on open folding and you should generally choose that option when given the choice.
Can add advance, opening some hands can be worse than - 50bb/100 and still be good opening combo if they raise EV of other hands we opening. :)
what you mean by this ? doesnt sound too gto
mean open marginal holdings to get more Ev with premium. Anyway worse hand you opening from sb are close to -50BB, and some of them we open for board coverage or opportunity to take value when villain will not know what we have hands like that in our range.//
That's a great answer. Ty James Hudson
