Range Strategy in MW Pot's
I've been doing a lot of thinking/talking with other people in my skype chat + friends and one advocates to go polarized/bet near pot in MW pots so if we have AA on 852 we should be betting 3/4-near pot size and maybe go even more polarized with more players in the MW pot.
However another says we should be betting a small sizing and going for protection, and he got that information from a mid-high stakes player/video series (i think w34z3l's).
So with the polarized strategy we are NOT going to be betting a lot of hands for protection for a smaller sizing or any backdoor draws such as J9s on a T62r into 2+ players or A5c on JhTs2c or 77 on Qh2h2c with 2+ players etc.
I'm leaning more towards using a polarized range strat Majority of the time when in a MW pot, maybe it's because of the stakes that i am playing which are micro stakes + live poker.
But in regards to how ranges work in a MW pot i think they are generally going to be stronger and people won't be floating as often + the fact that backdoor draws + hands that we bet for protection do pretty horribly equity wise vs 2 player's continuing ranges. And yeah i also think that if players are going to call really wide then betting for protection for a small-medish sizing won't be +EV, and getting 2 players to fold out their equity is much harder then 1 player.
