What would a random number generator solely for poker do that any other random number generator didn't?

Anyway there are tons of random number generators available on the internet, just Google it. Or make your own. :)

You can also do things like just using the clock on your computer as a random number generator or the last digit of the current hand history etc.

1)stars helper have it, quite easy and have FAQ.
2)outside programs (google should help)
3) can use suits for freq, last numbers in your stack,time, number of table and so on. Be creative

You can just type "RNG" into google and it gives you one of those web browser built in mini apps.

I would also like to add that unless you're a world class player competing in the toughest games in the world, this is completely the wrong tact to take and a trap. If you go down this path, you'll find yourself spending more mental energy trying to randomize your play than you spend thinking about how your opponents deviate from optimal play. The edge you gain from observing and exploiting their deviations will far exceed the edge you give up by not including exactly 17% of your AKo in a 3B flatting range.

At lower stakes, flipping a coin is probably all of the randomness you will need. Heads you bet, Tails you check. As Cory said, focusing on stuff like this takes away from the stuff we should be focusing on. I am guilty of this 110%. I see something "cool" or "fascinating" in a video, try to implement it and spew off 5 buy ins. :)

Agree with Cory that RNG is just irrelevant. I was on this kick for a while a few years back, even made a RIO video using one. For 99.9% of players it will lead into a super sick rabbit hole of arrogance and naivity, thinking you're playing better than you are, passing on healthy exploits so you can be a good RNG boy etc. You're better off studying pool trends and simplifying the game tree with more pure strategy exploits wherever possible.
