question on river blocker bets in large pots.
Ex: We are OOP otr with a range of 2pair, sets, flushes, straights and bluffs. SPR is 1.
our range after betting turn breaks down as 13% flush, 8% straight, 8% set, 14% 2pair. + bluffs. river bricks and none of our bluffs improve.
If we devise a blocker betting option OTR for 35% pot, our 1-A vs a jam will be 72% (almost our entire v-bet range).
Q) does it benefit our range more to ...
a) allow villain incentive to jam sets (he probably shouldn't if we blocker bet our entire range OTR, it seems to thin)
b) weaken the blocker bet range to allow villain to jam sets (we add a separate large bet option with the rest of our flushes).
I'm confused b/c on one hand, our straights and flushes maximize when our blocker range is weaker. But our 2pair maximizes when our blocker range is stronger b/c villain can't raise as aggressively. So how do we figure out which strategy maximizes for our range?
