pro poker tools related question
This hand was from a lucas greenwood video I've seen awhile back that had me a bit confused. It went down like this...
100bb eff, preflop: hjk opens 3bb, hero calls btn w/ JThh, sb makes it 12bb, hjk folds, hero??Need to call 9bb more in a total pot of 19bb so getting slightly over 2 to 1 odds on the call. We assigned SB with a strict value range of <AQs/AK/QQ+>. then lucas opens up pro poker tools and does following....
--- HOW OFTEN DO(ES)PLAYER_2 HAVE HAND VS. RANGE EQUITY OF AT LEAST 35% ON THE FLOP ---38.4731% (514)
So I am somewhat confused by this method/calculation, why did we choose 35% equity and how do we use the answer to draw worthwhile conclusions?
