Preflop strategy Matthew Janda VS PokerSnowie
I would like to understand what preflop strategy closer to the GTO for today or proposed in Applications of No-Limit Hold'em by Matthew Janda or Preflop Advisor - PokerSnowie.
For example, let's take the SB against steal CO.
Janda flat call =5.6% (TT-88, AQo-AJo, KQo, AJs-ATs, KQs-KJs, QJs)
3bet=8.0% (AA-JJ, 55-44, AKo, AKs-AQs, KTs, QTs, JTs-J9s, T9s-T8s, 98s-97s, 87s, 76s, 65s, 54s)
Perhaps the time of writing the book the game has changed and in a recent article “Add more aggression to your game” Janda offers smaller call and more 3bet.
Preflop Advisor - PokerSnowie offers linear 3bet and refuses to call.

What a coincidence i was actually going over this spot today. I used to have a split range from the sb vs co but have been thinking lately that it is much easier to construct my range by only 3 betting.
Splitting my range appropriately was very tricky. I think splitting against the button works because they are more than twice as wide so u get to call more hands
I wonder why 44-55 are explicitly listed in the 3bet range, but 22,33,66,77 arent listed at all.
They are calls or folds.
1) Janda himself has said multiple times in the 2+2 thread discussing his book, that you should probably skip/ not pay too much attention to the preflop chapter in his book. IT's probably a decent sample strategy, but not necessarily the one and only best preflop strat.
2) Snowie preflop advice takes into account the betsizing of the opener and even the stakes (for rake considerations): there are some flats in SB on higher stakes, vs smaller betsizes, but still mostly 3bet or folds.
