I am doing some preflop range work by position and am wondering what every body else uses and thoughts on why one should go for or against studying/using specific strategies in each position. My ranges are, for the most part, pure at this point in time.

My thoughts are, for simplicity, use pure preflop strategies from MP, CO. While using mixed strategies from BTN, SB, BB. I understand mixed strats are going to be much harder to implement but are going to be higher EV. Therefore, choosing where to implement selectively may be helpful starting off.

Is this relatively standard? What are your thoughts? What do YOU use?
