Polarized Range vs Bluffcatchers + Traps

Let's say Hero has either "nuts" or air, and Villain has a bluff-catcher, but also some slow-plays. If Villain is OOP, I have a theory that he only leads his traps if Hero prefers to check back his entire range if Villain checks his traps.

By leading, Villain never gets a bet out of Hero's air. Some of Hero's "nut" hands will also fold to keep Villain's bluff-catchers indifferent between betting and checking, so Villain will also lose a bet from some of Hero's "nut" hands. I also believe that Hero will call a jam more often after betting because his pot odds will be better.

So leading always seems worse than checking, unless Hero is not betting in the first place.

I'm pretty sure you worded your question wrong, because this makes no sense. If I understand this correctly, you're saying Villain has bluff catchers + nuts, and Hero has a pure polarized range. So are you saying both Villain and Hero both share the same "nutted" hand region, while Hero has an Air range and Villain has SDV bluff catcher range?

Why would Villain bet his bluff catchers? It would seem that the strategy of just checking his entire range should be good regardless. From Hero's perspective, he still needs to be betting his air, or his nut region will lose value since Villain can just fold his bluff catchers and raise/call his own nutted region. If Hero simply checks his entire range, he loses value for obvious reasons.

If villain has few traps and primarily a BC range and hero is polar, then the reason OOP is checking is because otherwise he'll be betting into a bigger nutted rangepart of hero. IP is not incentivized to check-back his entire range cause he has a nutregion so the way u structured ur thoughts isnt adding up.

Some of Hero's "nut" hands will also fold to keep Villain's bluff-catchers indifferent between betting and checking, so Villain will also lose a bet from some of Hero's "nut" hands.

This doesnt make sense at all.

This is what happens when GTO gets you by the balls, you start coming up with reasons to fold the nuts!

OK, well

Villain will be incentivized to XR his traps until the point that EVXRtraps=EVLeadTraps, and that's not only at a 0% bettingfrequency but at some non-zero betting% where hero is checking back just enough due to villains range not being as BC-heavy anymore.

The reason for this is that villains range has moved some portion of his bluffcatchers to his leadingrange for blockbetting purposes and now hero cant bomb as polar into him.

If Hero is checking back his entire range of near-nuts+buffs then thats great for the BC range cuz he will realize all the equity of his mediocre valuehands so that will quite obviously not be part of the equilibrium strategy.
