Playing JJ OOP with 18BB late in a MTT

Blinds: t2,500/t5,000 (8 Players) CO: 176,401
BN: 328,034
SB: 43,674
BB: 44,004
UTG: 36,627
UTG+1: 90,373 (Hero)
MP: 366,622
MP+1: 142,782
Preflop (7,500) Hero is UTG+1 with J J
UTG folds, Hero raises to 11,000, 3 folds, BN calls 11,000, 2 folds
I considered a shove but both blinds were short and I thought I might induce them to jam with a worse hand
Flop (33,500) T 8 K
Hero bets 12,000, BN calls 12,000
Turn (57,500) T 8 K 4
Hero bets 18,000, BN calls 18,000
I thought he had more tens and draws than kings in his range...
River (93,500) T 8 K 4 5
Hero checks, BN checks
Final Pot BN wins and shows a pair of Kings.
UTG+1 lost and shows a pair of Jacks.
BN wins 93,500

We were 17 players left. I had no history with the BN...
I feel I played the hand very poorly but not sure of where I was wrong. Should I've go all-in pre ? check the flop ? check the turn ?
He had KJ, maybe he's checking back 2 streets... If he had a T, I guess he's never betting also...
