Play regular table or zoom ?
I think regular table's game is much easier than zoom.
If I only want to improve my skill, should I choose regular table or zoom ?

You are 100% right. The win rates at reg tables are much higher. The only advantage of fast fold tables is that you can get allot hands in. if volume is your goal
In my opinion nobody should be playing fast fold tables below NL50 for a couple reasons.
· The rake at NL50 and below is extremely high. High rake and a low win rate will lead to allot of variance in your results. This is harder on your mental game because you will have more losing stretches.
· The reason to play low stakes is that you want to get better and move up. If you are putting a huge amount of hands you are not present and thinking about your game. Having more time and really thinking about your decision’s is the best way to improve.
Reg tables are more fun. To me what makes cash games fun is winning and even more importantly knowing that I am beating my opponents by looking at their mistakes and exploiting them. Reg tables lead to more meta opportunities to exploit opponents. A very basic example at Micro is you’re going to run into opponents who have their aces cracked in one hand and then just open shoving for the next 3 hands. You can look down at ATo in the BB and click call easy game. At the fast fold table you are going to miss this. there is allot more examples of where we can change our ranges based on what is happing at table
Good Luck
Thanks a lot for your reply, I love you, bro.
Play reg tables if you're bankrupt xd
Hey Kalupso are you saying fast fold is better?
His SN contains bankrupt. Better not play zoom if you are broke...
Zoom is viable if you are great at exploiting nitty regs, but otherwise a terrible option. Recreational players loss rate correlate with VPIP and zoom VPIP is much more normal than reg table VPIP. Like 18 is lowest loss rate VPIP or something (guess from logic and memory). You can win a bit more from like 12% VPIP but to really crush you need fish with really high VPIP like 40%+.
Win rate isn't everything of course, but I think most people like to have a positive win rate and that can be difficult for a lot of people in zoom.
I think there is another difficulty in zoom is that you cannot recognize someone is a recreational player or not just by vpip/pfr/3bet provided by poker platform. Because there are too many people in the low stacks zoom, you cannot record everyone.
Maybe recreational players like to play zoom tables because they can fast fold to get a better hand. So I think the nit player (someone VIPIP/PFR/3BET looks like 16/14/6) you see at zoom table are just recreational player. It is tough to distinguish fish and nit.
regular table for sure because you can bumhunt and avoid all good regs until you get to a stake where your forced to play them
@ Kalupso -agreed dont play zoom if your broke. Borrow money and play MTTS on margin got it!
Or put it all on Bitcoin XD
Choosing between regular tables and Zoom for online poker is all about what kind of experience you’re after. Regular tables give you that steady pace and time to think, while Zoom keeps things fast and intense—great if you don’t like waiting around. When I wanted to sharpen my skills and have some fun at the same time, I explored other gaming options too. That’s how I discovered club pogo and it turned into one of my favorite places for games that help you unwind or stay sharp. If you’re into poker or gaming in general, it’s worth checking out different platforms to find your vibe!
Hey guys I just made an account here and I am trying to post a thread but I keep getting a error message.
I like to play zoom as I can focus on just 1 table at the time
