PioSOLVER on Amazon Web Service

Hello there,

I usually use Pio pro version and its "load script" feature to create multiple cfr files and use them for statistical analysis. Then, I'm considering using Amazon's EC2 for more solving speed. Anybody who has similar experience?
My questions are;

  1. If I upgrade pro to edge version, can I activate my license on EC2?
  2. If I stop or delete the instance of EC2, is the license available again?
  3. I heard that there is no upper limit on the number of cores available for edge, but is there a clear speed difference between 8 cores and 16 cores, or 16 and 32?
  4. If you know some recommended instance settings, please let me know:)

If you or anyone would like someone to do this (writing scripts to solve for multiple inputs) for you - I'm a trained data scientist. AWS is a pretty complicated subject.

I use EC2 for Pio as I am an apple user. It was a bit fiddly at first but now I have scripts running constantly. You need to get enough storage to save the trees, then download them to Dropbox. Each tree for BTN vs BB in two bet pots are 4GB, so it’s better just to run a few flops at a time and then upload to Dropbox. Let me know what help you need

Why not just use a subscription service like GTO Wizard to gain access to every spot?

The Pio pro version is limited to 16 cores as far as I know. You'll wanna upgrade to Edge and contact the dev directly.
