PIO solver questions
Hi, i'm trying to see the difference between having one bet sizing 25% on QJ2b in single raised pot, (BTN vs BB) and having 3 differents bet sizing 25 50 130.
How do i see the EV that we loose when we just use one sizing ? Because the difference in the EV strategy is just like 1,1% of the pot. And i just feel like this would maybe chance a lot if i keep the solver to run until 0% exploitability.
Maybe 1,1% is a lot in the long run, but i'm a bit surprised because that differences of EV seems very volatile , depends a lot of how many time we let the solver runs.
Thanks.

I would run your simulations for a little bit longer. I think that the rule of thumb is somewhere between 0.10% and 0.25% of pot for results where the river play will still be strong. I know that Tyler Forrester advocated for solving down to 0.008% of pot in one of his older PIO videos but that might be overkill. Someone correct me if I'm off with those PIO numbers though.
0.008% damn it's very long. I've got one of the best machine to run PIO and it's still very very long
Yeah, like I said, I think that might be more exact than most of us need. I generally run mine to 0.10% but it's not like I have a great way of knowing if that's too lacking in precision.
Edit: confirmed with someone much better than me at this who said that 0.25% is fine.
Depends on what ur trying to accomplish. With flop sizings etc, you really don't need to let it run out long. If you're looking to get very good ideas on river solutions sure, let it run a little longer. I have 64gb of ram and good computer, and it takes a long fucking time to run down to .10 and I'm impatient, also most of the solutions I look for are generally after I nodelocked, for various flop and turn exploits. I'm not good enough to worry about too many rivers yet
