When I played the hand I thought it was an easy call, but now I don't know
If he has: 77, 44, 88, JJ+ and some FD's then it's a profitable call, but Im not sure about how he plays that hands

Intuitively bet calling this turn seems bad to me. He's not going to have many flush draws at all in his utg open/ defend to 3 bet range and many of the ones he does defend will probably just fastplay the flop. I think you're looking at a straight or a bunch of sets quite often here. After running some math, it seems like it's going to be a call once you bet but I'm still not sure if betting the turn to begin with is the best play. By checking we allow him to potentially bet some floats rather than isolating the strongest hands in his range like we do by betting.

I really don't think we should be check - jamming this turn. I think if we check it has to be to check call and check, close our eyes, and call again.

I say this in order to keep bluffs in his range. I think check jamming just isolates us vs basically only better hands, while letting all of his high card hands get away easily.

question of nl100 player why do you CB 40% pot oop on such drawy board?
why should he shoves JJ+ turn on 4str8 cards?
is it standard / well played to Call CB and raishe shove turn ip at midstakes? i X flop and X turn nearly allways

@Parker how many bluffs do we really think are in his range? I like check/call check/decide (usually planning to fold but I want to see his betsizing first). Play rivers if he checks behind. I don't think we get value 3barreling here and I expect him to be very unbalanced towards sets on the river when we check call the turn. I expect most hands we get value from to valuecut themselves when we check (if not we get value on the river). I think we sometimes make a bad fold vs a thin valuebetting qq on the river but I think there is a decent chance he bets a smaller sizing with qq than his sets. If the pot odds are too good Ilike calling the river but if he bombs the river I think we are beat a huge % of the time.

His bluffs would be all of his JTs, clubs, AcQx and the like.

I agree with everything you've said and I'm ok with check call, check decide against a lot of opponents. However against a good aggressive opponent i think you need to be calling twice here, or he will just have too easy of a time turning almost everything he has into bluffs. I think you're right though, we need more info on this specific villain to say for sure if this is a c/c, c/c.
