I obviously won the maximum here, but do you guys think i got it because of the overbet? or maybe i was just lucky that the BN is a fish?

what do you think about overbetting on these kind of spots? is it good?

Yes vs fish its often fine since they cant fold.

But ur pre flop open is way too fancy sir. I recommend u watch the video from lucas greenwood about opening ranges or just make notes in othe videos about ranges they open, since this is just not good. Esp given high rake at ur stakes and to learn the game I think pre flop play is important.

I think it's fine, but probably not necessary here given effective stack sizes and board texture. When stacks are deeper and/or the board is very wet, it makes more sense to make larger bets.

Agreed with SCS that we don't need to overbet here in order to get stacks in and the board texture isn't such that we're afraid of a bad river costing us action / no longer having the best hand very often. I think vs a recreational player you should be looking for spots to overbet turns where you need to do it to build a pot (for instance, if the flop gets checked back and you have a strong hand) or where you almost definitely have the best hand but many rivers can kill your action (think 99 on 10h9h5s 2s).

Also, if villain has a hand like T9s or 88, it's likely that he can find a fold on the turn when facing such a large bet. By betting so large you will often fold out marginal hands that you can get value from when making a normal size bet and narrow villain's range to hands like top pair, which is going to pay off any turn and almost all rivers, and the occasional set. It's likely that we are going to get stacks in against villain's specific hand no matter what we do, therefore we shouldn't worry about our line too much vs top pair, and worry about how to maximize value against villain's entire range.
