Overbet the river vs capped ranges
Hey, I've started to test a new (well, new at least for me) strategy where I overbet the river vs capped ranges, often 2x pot. So lets say BU opens 2.5x and I defend my big blind. Flop is 8s9s2c and I have JsTs. It goes check check flop, turn is a brick and I bet 70% pot, villain calls, river is a brick and I overbet 2x pot. What do you think of this strategy? I feel like vs some villains its pretty good but I'm not sure, need more hands to check the results. I'm obviously doing it with my value hands too. Basically I just want to (effectively) bluff a ton in some runouts that I have a lot of missed draws because I felt my double barrel was getting called too often. If you think its good, which river cards would you choose to overbet in this kind of situation (BB vs BU, BU checks behind the flop)?. What would you consider most relevant: having good blockers to his bluffcatching hands or having the more equity OTT? Also, if know any material about this topic, here on RIO or outside I would appreciate it
