Fold pre or 4bet as exploit with reads.
What? Why?
When you see spots like this you gotta ask yourself how you make money by calling with this hands that a) get in trouble even on the best possible boards for their hand b) dont have anything in connectedness to make a straight once in a while. You can get luck to flop an ace and hope villain bluffs once at it or x/calls once with QQ or KK.
130bb deep IP with A7s where you need to realise under 30% of the pot versus a weak player. I call happily and would do so too with substantially weaker hands with some potential.
Agree 100%
As default I fold pre, given size of three bet I think it is fine
I fold turn most likely and definitely river.
i normally fold pre it was just such a small 3B and i dont think i should ever be folding turn after ive called flop my hand has improved i shouldnt be foding there river i think must be a fold,
like i say i normally would fold pre
Yes, your hand improves on the turn in absolute terms, but relative strength is still the same. You still have a blufcatcher with RIO. And the ace will discourage most people to barrel as a bluf and even as semi-bluf.
The way I perceive these spots, the turn barrel range is exponentially more valueheavy than it is at the flop.
That said, with the ace you block a good Chuck of villains valuerange, which is why I cant fault a call too much. Still, I lean towards a fold.
IMO WP. Folding turn would be a mistake.
well since like you said i have a blocker also i have seen many people in spot like this barrel KK QQ etc if were gonna fold turn we should fold flop
