Noob mistake. Need general advice on dealing with shoves/all-ins.
Blinds: $0.01/$0.02 (6 Players)

The open was slightly out of my opening range UTG (from FTGU course), but I think it still was a decent hand to open with
Flop

I think at this point I should have folded given the turn cut any chance of straight.

Now I wasn't sure here. I assumed that if he had pocket Q or 8, he would have bet higher. I also forgot that if he had pocket Q or 8 that would make a full house (noob mistake) so I thought my hand was probably the nuts and he had 2 pair or simply a set. I didn't even consider pocket 2 because, although that's in his range, it didn't connect with the flop and he still C-bet.
Final Pot
UTG
lost and shows three of a kind, Aces.
CO wins and shows a full house, Deuces full of Aces.
CO wins $3.27
Rake is $0.12

I think this beat was mostly a mistake of forgetting how full houses work lol. I still welcome any input on when it should have been a fold on my part, or anything related to bet sizing...
I do have a more general question regarding dealing with shoves. I find that many players tend to shove a lot, which I think is in part based on the fact that we are playing for pennies. However, I'm never sure how to deal with them and which hands are worth calling an all-in with, both pre and post-flop.
If you have any advice on how to deal with shoves (or know any video that deals with those cases) I'd really appreciate!

I like the flop and turn play. Weaker ace, do want a checking range. Having the T somewhat sucks because we block bluffs. But a higher kicker just means we win more against his weaker aces, which at these stakes are going to be a bunch.
River I would just call with this one. It's hard to imagine many worse hands to be calling us when we do raise. Can raise AK, full houses.
He never should have QQ here btw. Should be a 3-bet preflop. Could have 88, AJ, and even AQ which is why I would like this hand more as a call instead of a raise. AK could raise river as it can get value from his AJ and AT.
Given you have FTGU I'd suggest rewatching videos
14: Pyramidical Defense: Explains MDF which is something you can fall back on.
22: Bluff Catcher selection: Will help with deciding which hands to MDF with and why
24-25: Exploitative folding/calling: Will help finding where people are likely overshoving with bluffs/value
Thanks! Seems like I was too greedy on the river, but I didn't play horrible poker.
Hmm, I thought I blocked Ax, especially on the river. How seriously should I take blockers into consideration?
Will check those episodes again! It's always a bit hard to remember everything mid-hand.
Quite often. It is much better for our value check/raise range on the river to not have an ace. So QQ, 88 are much better hands than AK. But villain can't just call full house only, then we can easily just bluffraise very often. So when he also needs to call weaker Ax we can go for thinner value with AK. It's fine if you don't though, it's not going to be a huge thing. Just don't bluff often on the river with this line then.
For sure. It's a learning proces. Just watching the videos once won't be enough. I'll probably be rewatching some soon as well.
GL at the tables.
I do not mind shoving the river against a fish.. I can imagine that he would call us with all Axs.. AK,AQ and AJ could 3bet preflop sometimes.. I mean calling is okay for sure, but shoving could be also fine, depends how fishy he is.. but you know he is a shortstack player playing at nl2 - I wouldnt be surprised to see A2-AJo calling your river raise
