villain is a 2 tabling reg, not much HH about him
What do you think about this line? I usually balance this line with KJs, J8s, J7s, JTs, but I think the pool overfolds in a spot like this, so I do not like my turn overbet too much.

I would call flop and x/r turn given the fact the flop is rainbow so there are fewers combo villain can continue with.
I also don't expect villain to call 3 streets with AA when we x/r flop and bet on both turn and river. So I try to capture to streets by raising the turn and hope for a call OTR if we bet again
Yes it would have been a better line, thanks.
I like the x/r on the flop with bottom set as you don't block any of his value and people will call a flop x/r much more readily than on later streets. Turn would just make it smaller than pot as like you say, population overfolds to overbets and you can still get it in by the river anyways.
Too big sizing on the turn imo he is only going to call u with straights or combo draws,as the card is better for u( u are going to have more straights than him u call all QJo's vs 2x) should bet smaller like 50-66% to allow him to continue with some overpairs(mostly talking about JJ-QQ) also and then jam river....i wasnt looking at stack sizes this comes even better with deep stacks.Ppl are to scared to call pot size bet deep stack on turn leaving them only a little behind on river where they are commited so their range is going to be more narrow.
Yeah, I would also add that flop was rainbow and 8 completes one of few draws that hero could x/r. Therefore its not about being scared or not - hero would need to x/r very random hands for villain to have any incentive to bluffcatch to overbet vs range that is perceived as very strong and lacks many natural bluffs.
The board is better for IP and it can be better to play just call or fold otf with your range.
Ott this card complete the str8 hence your range want to bet smaller at higher freq.
If someone solve this you can correct me.
Flop this should be a pure raise even against larger sizings that I think villain should be using - more like 100-125% pot would be appropriate as a CB on this kind of disconnected but dynamic board.
I'm not entirely too familiar with this as a turn spot and am honestly doing my best to work it out and may post a follow up later if you'd be interested when I have a better grasp of it but generally after check raising we want to continue at a smaller size for a high frequency on straight completing cards and at a low frequency for a bigger size with a reasonable amount of trapping thrown in on bricks so on this turn card I would usually continue for 2/3 with this kind of hand. And just to cover all eventualities on board pairs we want to do high frequency trapping with a little bit of large betting (in theory but this assumes an aggressive villain that will attack our weak range appropriately, just bet your sets against population) although that's the part which is throwing me here because it seems that we actually get quite aggro on the board pairs, moreso than on the 8 for this particular spot.
