Im not really sure if this hand is strong enough for a flat, or should be a 3b... Dont think there is going to be a huge difference.

Looks fine? Or are you guys folding ott? Or is this hand strong enough for a calldown? A9 is probably the only hand Im actually calling with, but Im pretty sure he doesnt expect me to fold 9x, which makes this a fold.

I think its well played. Im not folding ott, but Im not sure about river. I think the best play is to fold once he shoves because he can have AA, JJ, A9, J9, QT (although QT is probably not a good shove if you fold 9x).
His line doesn't make much sense to me. IF he had a full house ott it's probably better to bet all three streets and get value from your Ax bluffcatchers. I can't put him on any hand with his line, probably calling river.
I think that you are right in that his line is not ideal for value and very risky (but potentially great) as a bluff.
That said, I can see some tilted/bad reg with AA here realizing that he cant win 200bb pot with bet/bet/bet, that Im unlikely to raise 9x, disregard ranges and EV and just try to win huge pot vs the strongest part of my range.
Maybe he is trying to get even.
Maybe he doesnt realize that winning smaller pot more often has more value than coolering with call happy 9x.
Fwiw calling, because villain's line doesnt make sense used to cost me a lot of money....
Flat call pre agains 60% seems good, wouldn't ever 3bet Q9o BvB.
Folding probably turn isn't that bad against this player "wtsd 28%, wwsf 45%". Maybe with some recent dynamic (tilted) he could try to bluff here? But it would still be pretty ambitious to bluffcatch river ...
Meh, I mean this sucks and all, it's either a spazz or nuts and it's pretty hard to put someone on a spazz for no reason. I don't mind a call and I don't think it's much of a difference if you call or fold - it never happens and depends on the villain crazy lot - like it can be super profitable and super -EV and there's really no way to find out.
Well played. Like you said I doubt he's expecting us to fold 9x so we should fold. I think this is JJ or AA always.
Q9o seems like over calling this flop when villain is only cbetting 42%.It can't stand 2 barrels, you have a bunch of Ax,Jx to defend and blocking some of his semi bluffs i.e Q8, QT, KQ doesn't help either.
As played he might expect you to be capped and not have any 9x at all (except A9), but its still kinda optimistic so definitely folding river, maybe even turn.
pretty weird line, i think most ppl wouldnt cbet set OTF so dry.... so i guess he has 2P like J9 or A9, which is very wtf by him to overbetshove river, but since u r not repping any AA/JJ/, he feels like A9/J9 is nuts which rly is... since u can repp only A9,J9,99 too... so he maybe hopes u did hit your straight OTR , and therefore wants value from QT and T7
but given that he cbet only 42% , i dont expect him to overbet bluff this river
call pre is fine..
rest is also fine imo
