NL50: AJ facing maniac overbet on Q97 rb

HJ: $121.83 (Hero)
CO: $97.75
BN: $70.96
SB: $50
BB: $51.89
villain 59/41
3b: 33
20 hands

Seemed like this guy was gambling around. He ran up a stack shortly after seating, then lost 100BBs to me with AJ v AK where he reclicked and got his stack in pre. After losing another big one to another dude, I finished his last ~25BBs with QQ v AK once more and it seemed like he was tilting pretty good.
I've also seen him slowplaying a flopped boat, r/c the turn, classical supertricky fish way to play a nut hand.
Preflop ($0.75) (5 Players)
Hero was dealt A J
Hero raises to $1.50, CO folds, BN folds, SB folds, BB calls $1
Flop ($3.25) Q 9 7 (2 Players)
BB bets $7

So most of the time he at least had some kind of a hand when putting in tons of money. However when he overbets like that, I'd exclude most nut hands from his range and only be afraid of the tiltbets with random hands/pairs/draws. I'm slightly behind vs a random 10%-70% range but I can play further streets and would absolutely happily call down with any pair.

Is this still too thin and gambly given that he's likely to at least pot the turn again? What about hands like AK, KT, JT, 87?
