i am not sure if its give up on R. and i dont think that 8 on R bring us any sdv.
against bluff plays that he can have all sets from F and JJ+, AdTx and my percieved range is that i dont have flushes. (would you ever consider check with AdXd on T to protect your T checking range, or its just valuebet valuebet spot)
but when he checks back on T (my percieved range is probably just sets, two pairs, some air and flushes, which probably everyone bets so he can discount that) he would probably bet all his flushes.
so on R we can probably fold some of his Tx hands with big sizing.
