Vilain was a successful player a few years ago, good midstakes HU player. Yet, he's always been broke, more or less, for what I know. My read on him is that he's a smart poker player, has moves in his arsenal, but has mental / tilt issues that prevent him from winning in the long run.
Hadn't seen him around for a while, then he came back to play short sessions recently. He's been very tight preflop, and usually not out of line since his coming back. This said, I know the beast inside him, as I had to deal with the same kind of FPS / 'looking to outplay you' syndrom.
I remember a hand 2 years ago against this guy where he double floated IP in a 3b pot with total air, before succeedingly bluffing the river and showing. The spot looked really bad to me at the time.

This is where it gets interesting. My standard is surely not to raise here, it just felt sweet ingame. And I don't have so much rationale for it, as I play very intuitively. Yet I like the raise, still now. What do u think about it?
