NL25 Zoom: extracting max value vs fish with flopped boat

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) BN: $26.75 (Hero)
SB: $25.00
BB: $38.85
UTG: $33.84
MP: $61.68
CO: $39.88
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is BN with J 8
UTG folds, MP calls $0.25, CO folds, Hero raises to $1.00, 2 folds, MP calls $0.75
Flop ($2.35) 8 J 8
MP bets $0.50, Hero calls $0.50
I thought about raising here because his betsize is so small that I'll be having trouble getting stacks in later if I just flat. However his lead appears weak and I have the board crushed, so I wasn't sure. Maybe just make it 3x so he can still call with all of his weak draws?
Turn ($3.35) 8 J 8 9
MP bets $0.75, Hero raises to $3.60, MP calls $2.85
This one should be fairly std I assume.
River ($10.55) 8 J 8 9 7
MP checks, Hero bets $13.45, MP folds
Here I also wasn't sure about my optimal betsize. I think shoving for more than 2x pot might narrow his calling range by too much so I went with a slight overbet figuring most of his strong 1pair flushes will still be inelastic to this. I'm not sure if a std pot bet isn't better though.
