Give up bluffs without a spade. Check call some over pairs.

I would make a thin value bet with my overpairs when he checks back the turn and this is my worst hand so I decided to bluff it.
Final Pot
BB
lost and shows high card King.
BN wins and shows a pair of Eights.
BN wins $21.59
Rake is $1.13

Really not sure if I played this well and what the best way to play my range is postflop. Is it a good idea to split my range on the turn? If it is, then is it better to check call overpairs with or without a spade?
