NL25: KJss IP on 88xx dbl suited

Blinds: $0.10/$0.25 (6 Players) CO: $25.25
BN: $63.92 (Hero)
SB: $62.50
BB: $67.39
UTG: $63.21
MP: $99.42
villain 20/17, 60 hands
cbet: 3/4
Preflop ($0.35) Hero is BN with K J
2 folds, CO raises to $0.75, Hero calls $0.75, SB folds, BB calls $0.50
Flop ($2.65) 8 8 2
BB checks, CO bets $1.50, Hero calls $1.50, BB folds
Turn ($5.65) 8 8 2 4
CO checks

Villain is relatively unknown but apparently taggy. What's the best play OTT? I don't think my hand has much SDvalue if it goes chk, chk and he also checks the river to me but I also doubt I can fold out AQ, AJ, AT, 2x, 4x, 33-66 with one single bet. So it seems like I have to decide between betting twice and checking down ui. However it also looks somewhat transparent and might be an enticing spot for him to go for a c/r, especially if I bet a lot of underpairs with the intention of checking back rivers.

Always betting this turn. You fold all his A high combos that are beating you and you have back up clubs for when he decides to x/c turn (which is not gonna happen very often). You can also bet river on all blank/non paint cards representing most of the pp's. A tight player wont get tricky and will just fold to your bet. Some of them could level themselves and call with A high, even though that's rare. You could also raise flop since you have a ton of equity, but OTF you dont represent much (8x and overpairs - and some of them you would 3b pre).

Ok, so how do I deal with a c/r then because that's what happened ingame and then it's actually a pretty ugly spot? I also don't think it's that uncommon of a spot for vaillain to go for a c/r so I was asking myself if betting a FD which has at least a tiny bit of SD value and is too strong to b/f might be too wide?!

Concerning preflop, I would rather 3b worse Kxs than this one, especially 100BBs deep. Also the BB was a huge drooler so I wanted to keep him in (although he was such a big drooler, that he'd also frequently call a 3b I suppose)

What hand could he possibly cbet flop and then c/r turn that makes sense in your opinion?.

I just dont see a range of hands that he could do that line so im calling his c/r and evaluating river.

I think he could do this with QQ+ and draws with low SDvalue if he thinks I'll be stabbing most of my diamonds, clubs, some underpairs, flop floats. I also don't have many 8x in my BTN calling range, not even a single offsuit one so it's not like he's value towning himself with AA here every single time.

I also don't think we can play rivers well unimproved. Lets say it bricks off with a 6 and he bets. I guess we can't do anything but fold because either, bluffcatching with K high or shoving over his weird line seems too ambitious without any info about what this means.
Likewise if he checks, I don't think K high is good often enough but I also don't think he'll fold a pair to a bet when so much of my turn range looks like a draw or SDbound hand which didn't believe his c/r.
