NL25 - Discussion about PRF ranges
Most of the high-stakes players recommend wide PRF ranges, but what about adjusting to small-micro stakes where rake can be more of a deciding factor? Would like to hear out some NL25, NL50 winning regs about this topic, especially the button-sb-bb interraction where 3-bets are the most common. How do you defend for example a 2.5x BTN opening range when you face a 3-bet from SB or BB?

I tend to find villians at these stakes 3 bet too much in these spots or dont 3 bet enough. The best way to exploit that is 4 bet with a wider range. Hands with blockers that play well postflop if called are best. For example A2-A5 suited and occasionally flat a lot of your value range and broadway type hands/suited connecrors. This will make you more difficult to play against. Also check out poker snowie preflop ranges for a GTO spin on ranges in this spot.
What are the most common NL25 pop tendencies in your opinion?
What so you mean by pop tendencies? If you mean 3 bet range from blinds then i find that most villians will 3 bet button with any ace a2-ak suited and offsuit and k10+ as well as their obvious value range. I also tend to find most villians dont flat their small to medium pocket pairs and tend to 3 bet them against button open. So 22-77. This is just a general rule of thumb against uknown villians. Also i play 6 max not full ring so this could vary in full ring games maybe a little bit tighter 3 bet ranges in full ring games where villians are nittier.
Yeah this too, but not necessarily pre-flop, post flop tendencies too if you find any in particular, would be curious to hear them.
W hen you c bet you will get floated a lot more with air by regs in position who will try and take it down in later streets if you show weakness. One way to exploit that is double and sometimes even triple barrel your hands. And check calling/ check raising turns and rivers with your made hands as well as bluffs vs aggressive players. Likewise its also important for you to float more flops and turns with a wider range as you will also get double and triple barelled with air as well as made hands. If you get raised large on the river it is normally the nuts/a made hand. Dont stack of light there. These are just a couple i can think of from the top of my head. If i think of more ill let you know. In general although there are some good regs most players at 25nl suck. There are plenty of fish and lots of bad regs. Most of your win rate will come from value bets. Learn to value bet wider and bet for thin value on the river.
Nice info! Just quick question did u find this out from experience or database analysis or is this a general picture of NL25?
After playing around 150k hands or so thats just a general feel that i got from 25nl.
Aight. Thanks for the comments! :)
