NL25- 3bet pot- overbet jam river with air ??

http://www.handconverter.com/hands/2530732

I haven't posted stats as I wasn't interested in this particular hand, its more about me thinking about this spot in general lately. So assume villain is a standard reg.

I am thinking this is a good spot to overbet jam the river (with the right ratio of value/bluff hands) on these boards its difficult for villain to check back the turn with TPTK type hands, so generally, low-ish wet boards.

What are the pros and cons to overbetting rather than betting a conventional size?

Thanks

This hand just looks like you're more or less clicking buttons. Your pre-flop 3-bet sizing is likely too big and you are using a poor hand to 3-bet.

Flop also looks like a clear check-fold. It's hard for the opponent to not have a pair or gutshot+.

So now we're getting to the river with very weird (and likely bad) ranges so it's really hard to even begin to analyze the spot.

Thanks Matt, I agree with what you said. Like I said in OP, I am just thinking about the river overbet spot in general. I should have mentioned in OP, this hand was a long time ago and I dont usually 3bet K7o. Also about the sizing, its not my normal sizing, this was actually a squeeze spot, but I edited out the callers as I didn't what that to be a distraction. Just wanted to focus on the river. So lets assume here I held say KQo.

Not a fan with KQo specifically, since you block some of the hands you'd be trying to get value from, but I think it's fine as a bluff. If you got to the river with AK, AJ or KJ this way I think they'd be good candidates, because again, you block the AQ, KQ, QJ hands that might pick you off.

However, you're really just repping TT, T8s, and maybe 88 going for a turn c/r, so you certainly can't bluff with all combos of missed broadways.

You're not representing many hands to overjam this river. TT ks 3 combos and you don't always c-bet the flop with it, and some QT combos.

Also, 3-betting K6o and betting a connected board here with close to zero equity is very bad.
