Hi all,
I'm continuing my effort to improve, any help is most appreciated!
I have been trying to tighten up on my calling ranges on all streets (especially in 3bet pots), and in general it seems i'm going to showdown too much.
But here? What thought process might lead me to a +EV line?
Thanks

J isn't the best river card as most straights get their and KJ overtakes but small blind can still have enough flush draws, 67, AJ etc that I think this is a mandatory call.
I wouldn't sweat this when he bets roughly 55% of pot. You essentially have your best hand bluff catcher-wise in terms of absolute strength. I assume that you snap call with any two pair here right?
Yes definitely. I’ve been tying to get to showdown less lately, as my blue line has been quite bad (too wide to 3bets, cbets etc).
I’ve been doing okay, then losing big pots where villain bets big on river and I call him off (sometimes big all ins). I find it hard to not feel like a ‘push over’
You've just got to learn not to care. Sometimes the best strategy is to overfold versus people who underbluff.
Preflop is probably a fold, KQo doesn't play great as a call IP.
This!
