NL16 called 4bet flopped fd+gustshot

Blinds: $0.08/$0.16 (6 Players) BN: $16.00
SB: $23.60
BB: $25.36
UTG: $35.31
MP: $29.51
CO: $16.00 (Hero)
Villain is 27 vpip 27 pfr 20 3bet
Preflop ($0.24) Hero is CO with 8 7
2 folds, Hero raises to $0.40, 2 folds, BB raises to $1.28, Hero raises to $2.96, BB calls $1.68
Decided to 4bet here given villains high 3bet freq
Flop ($6.00) 3 4 5
BB checks, Hero bets $3.44, BB calls $3.44
I believe this is a bet, but IDK about the bet sizing, trying to make non club broadways to fold. Prob should be a bit smaller to prepare the shove on turn.
Turn ($12.88) 3 4 5 3
BB checks, Hero bets $9.60 and is all in
I think the shove, on this particular turn is not good, since i could be drawing dead to a fullhouse. Should I just check and fold to a shove?

If the samplesize its 50-100 hands i wouldnt take the 20% 3bet stat for nothing.
And if he actually is 3betting 20%, he is probably a fish and wont fold, so its not in your interest to make a big pot pre with such speculative hand. You should 4bet him lighter, agree, but for value mainly, put some more 77-QQ AQ+ into your 4bet% range and crush him.

Its quite unlikely he found a set there given the preflop action.

I agree with above that your 4bet range should have more 77+ and less speculative 4bets there.

Postflop I like the play. Represents a lot of strength and you will have a lot of value combos yourself taking this line. You also deny him river equity when he folds while you still have 25% improve against over pairs.

Those just look like stats that are over a very small sample so probably irrelevant. .

Not the biggest 3 bet - you have a nice hand in position - I think this is a call pre far more often then a 4 bet.

Once we 4 bet and get that flop I guess we want / have to try take this down with the equity we have. You might be right that slightly smaller on the flop would give us slightly more fold equity on the turn but I am not sure it matters a ton.
