Seems fine. Can potentially see betting turn bigger since a large portion of his turn continue range is strong TP's (AQ and KQ) and also something like A8dd or A2dd which I tend to like betting more like 70-75% pot more than @ 1/2 pot.
I keep waffling back and forth on this spot. There are so few value hands in villains range, but I can't think of many bluffs either on the Ad river when you hold the Kd. Without specific reads that villain overbluffs, I go back to pop reads, and versus the 10NL population I guess this is just a fold as this is probably all value all day.
Yeah I remember Peter Clarke said in one of his videos that when villain has a very snug value range it doesn't take much unpredictability for villain to be overbluffing. That being said villain is never betting a Q here so we have a pure bluffcatcher and with the backdoor diamonds getting there villain can't have to many natural bluffs. I feel like this is AQ more often than not so i'm fine with the fold against population.
Seems fine to me. Could bet turn bigger, as HawksWin says above.
I do like the smaller turn sizing. I think we have to be mindful about checking some Aces to not have to always x/f river but x/f KK is probably best.
fantastadonk What makes you prefer the smaller turn bet? I prefer a bigger bet because Qx will likely pay it off anyway, and if he floated with a diamond BDFD (or something like pair + BDFD) on the flop, he might pay it off as well.
Edit: nvm the comment about stack sizes: hero is the effective stack here. I guess they just wanted to even the bets more across the two streets, which is fine.
belrio42 yeah on the turn there was 5.30 in the middle with something like 7.30 behind so it was a bit of an awkward stack size. I would normally have bet something like 3.20 but wanted to have a bit larger stack left on the river for my triple barrel bluffs and also so I wasn't priced in to x/call if a Q or A hit.
Good discipline fold!, I might find some bluffs or even consider that my bluffcather is good one,but you won't move away from micro stakes solely by making herocalls in spots like this
