Question 1: Not a big hand, but I might confuse some concepts here. So on the flop this board pretty much misses my UTG RFI range. I'm checking hands that have little potential to pick up further equity OTT. Using the particular holding of AxXx, I would c-bet with the Ac or Xc in my hand and check back the rest. So here, not holding a spade is making me less incentivized to bet. Correct?

Question 2: OTT: Should not holding a spade make me MORE incentived to call now that I don't block any of his FDs or potential SDs? Does my particular holding become a call-down on blank rivers then?
